Mithlesh Gupta, Jashpur. The accused, who forcibly raped a woman, has been arrested and sent to jail by taking quick action. The name of the accused is Rajeshwar Yadav (39 years), who is said to be a habitual criminal. A case has been registered against the accused in the case of assault and abuses. This case is of Farsabhar police station area.
According to the information received from the police, on May 29, a 29 -year -old woman lodged a complaint at Farsabhar police station that on May 28, she was in her house with her husband, children and some village people. Her husband has back pain, so she was lying on the bed. Meanwhile, at around 3 pm, the accused Rajeshwar Yadav came to her house and described himself as a medicine, she said that she would treat her husband’s back pain. The accused went to the woman’s husband and performed some action, then giving some rice in the woman’s hand and told her husband that his wife would have to go alone near the pond to take the medicine. The woman went to take medicines with the accused at the behest of the accused. During this time, the accused suddenly assaulted the woman at a deserted place, threatened to kill and forcibly raped her. After this, the accused escaped leaving the woman there.
In view of the seriousness of the incident, the Farsabhar police immediately took action against the accused and registered a case under sections 64 (1), 116 (2) and 351 (2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Police cordoned off the absconding accused on the information that the absconding accused was hiding in the forest. During interrogation, the accused confessed his crime, after which he was arrested and sent to jail on judicial remand.
Jashpur Senior Superintendent of Police Shashi Mohan Singh said that Jashpur police is extremely sensitive towards women in the rape case, no one will be spared to anyone involved in women’s crime.
