Dareli moves from red terror towards development

Four decades later, administration reaches the village for the first time, census work completed This remote area of Bijapur is writing a new story of change and trust, leaving behind the fear of Naxals Raipur, May 20, 2026/ Dareli village in Bijapur district, which was cut off from the mainstream of development for a long time due to Naxal influence and fear, is now writing a new chapter of change and trust. No administrative activity had taken place in this area for the last four decades; even the national census of 2011 had left this village out. But now, changing history, the district administration team reached Dareli village directly for the first time and successfully completed the census work there. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai and the guidance of the Forest and District In-charge Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, the state government's public welfare schemes are now reaching those remote villages where it was once very difficult to even imagine development. Historical visit of the administrative team and warm welcome In this series, Bijapur Collector Mr. Vishwadeep, Zila Panchayat CEO Mrs. Namrata Choubey, Census Officer Mr. Mukesh Dewangan, and Usur SDM Mr. Bhupendra Gavre made an intensive tour of Dareli village. Finding the administrative officers among them, the villagers gave them a warm and emotional welcome. Expressing happiness, the villagers said that today they felt for the first time that the government-administration has reached their doorstep. The villagers described the census work done in the village during this time as a historic and pleasant initiative. Instructions to create basic documents by organizing camps Bijapur Collector held a 'chaupal' (village gathering) and interacted directly with the villagers, reviewing the availability of essential documents like land deeds, Aadhaar cards, bank accounts, and ration cards. Finding the documents of many villagers incomplete, he directed his subordinates to organize special camps in the village to ensure 100% saturation (documentation) of all eligible villagers. Swift resolution of a farmer's problem with sensitive on-the-spot cognizance During the visit, a local farmer narrated his plight to the Collector, stating that the land mutation had not been done for a long time even after his father's death. Showing sensitivity towards this, the Collector gave strict instructions to the revenue officials present on the spot to immediately complete the mutation process and said that he himself would monitor the matter. Seeing the swift working of the administration, the farmer became emotional and expressed his gratitude to the officials. Announcement of public welfare schemes and scholarships The Collector provided detailed information about other important government schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, to the villagers. He sternly told the officials that the benefits of the schemes should reach the last person at the last mile without any hindrance. Along with this, he also directed to provide scholarships to all the school children of Gram Panchayat Dareli on a priority basis. The village of Dareli, once considered a symbol of fear, neglect, and silence, has now stepped onto the path of development, mutual trust, and new hopes. This sensitive initiative by the administration has further strengthened the villagers' trust in the government.
