Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Arun Sao today inspected the progress of work at the new Chhattisgarh Assembly building under construction in Nava Raipur. He meticulously reviewed the work in all three wings under construction and instructed the Public Works Department officials to complete all tasks within the stipulated timeframe. Following the completion of the civil work of the new Assembly building, the furniture and interior work is in progress. Secretary of the Public Works Department, Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, and Chief Engineer V.K. Bhatpahari were also present during the inspection. Sao stated that the Public Works Department aims to complete all works here by September. Accordingly, preparations will be made to dedicate it to the people of Chhattisgarh on November 1st, the occasion of the State Festival. The work on Wing-A, where the Assembly Secretariat will be located, and Wing-C, which will house the offices of the Deputy Chief Ministers and Ministers, is nearing completion. Furniture and interior work will soon begin in Wing-B, which will house the Assembly House, Central Hall, offices of the Chief Minister and the Assembly Speaker.
