Development's Path Reaches Mayuripara in Abujhmad After 78 Years of Independence

Raipur, June 09, 2026/ Road construction work under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is bringing positive changes in the lives of villagers in the highly sensitive and former Naxal-affected Abujhmad area of Bhairamgarh development block in Bijapur district. With the road now reaching Mayuripara, which was deprived of development for years, people have started benefiting from better commuting, education, and health facilities. Remote Area Connected by 16 Km Road Construction A 16-kilometer-long road is being constructed from Bail to Mayuripara under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. So far, 13 kilometers of earthen road construction has been completed under this project. Additionally, the work of murruming and constructing six small bridges is in the final stages. According to departmental officials, the remaining work will be completed in June. Relief from Difficult Routes Mrs. Juggi Athami, the Sarpanch of Bail village, stated that due to the lack of road facility for a long time, villagers had to walk several kilometers through dense forests for daily needs, health services, and other tasks. During the rainy season, they had to rely on boats to cross the river, which increased both time and trouble. She mentioned that even after 78 years of independence, this area was far from the mainstream of development due to Naxal influence and difficult geographical conditions. Now, the situation is rapidly changing with road construction, bringing great relief to the people. New Foundation for Education and Health Services With the construction of the road, commuting for school children has become easier. Access to health services has also improved. It is now possible to take patients to the hospital on time when needed, providing significant convenience to the villagers.
