DG Jail Himanshu Gupta Conducts Surprise Inspection of Bilaspur Central Jail

Raipur, Director General of Prisons (DG Jail) Mr. Himanshu Gupta today conducted a surprise inspection of the Central Jail in Bilaspur. During the inspection, he reviewed the jail's arrangements, listened to the problems of the inmates, and approved various modern facilities for the strengthening of the jail and the welfare of the inmates.

During the inspection, DG Jail Mr. Himanshu Gupta took a unique initiative by conducting an English class for the inmates and gave them important tips related to studies and language improvement. Along with this, he directly interacted with the inmates, heard their problems, and instructed the concerned officials for prompt resolution.

Approval was granted for a color offset printing machine for running industries in the jail and a machine setup for manufacturing LED bulbs and tube lights. For the education of inmates, a smart board and availability of major English newspapers (Times of India, Indian Express, Hitavada, etc.) for the jail library. Instructions were given for the arrangement of 20 RO water purifiers for the inmates, an automatic roti maker machine for the kitchen, and 2,000 thali sets for the inmates. Approval for an inverter for the women's jail premises is included.

During this inspection, DIG Jail Mr. S.S. Tigga, Jail Superintendent Mr. Khomesh Mandavi, Jail Doctor, and other officers and employees were present.
