Education Evolution in Chhattisgarh: From Slate Boards to Smart Classrooms

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Saye used Teachers’ Day 2026 to map the transformation of learning in Chhattisgarh. He recalled his own schooling on slates, chalk and wooden boards, and highlighted how today’s children enjoy smart classrooms, digital libraries and interactive lessons.

He noted that reaching a school was once a logistical nightmare for children in remote villages. Modern transport, improved school infrastructure and internet connectivity have narrowed that gap.

The chief minister emphasized that while technology can deliver information, the teacher’s role in building confidence, spotting aptitude and imparting values remains irreplaceable.

He urged teachers to spot every child’s potential and to extend a helping hand to those who lag due to economic constraints or lack of encouragement.

Bastar’s schools, he added, are now echoing with bell rings after years of inactivity, signaling renewed educational momentum.

Aligning with the National Education Policy‑2020, the state is pushing for mother‑tongue instruction, skill‑based curricula, digital learning tools and expansive smart‑class setups.

The CM called on educators to work together so that each school becomes a gateway to dreams and every classroom a space of limitless possibilities.

He concluded with a sincere wish for the wellbeing and respect of all teachers and their families.
