District Level Science Seminar Competition organized on "Indian Energy Scenario 2047"

Students showcased scientific talent in PPT, Model Presentation, Cross Quiz, and Written Exam

Baikunthpur, Koriya. With the cooperation of the National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the State Educational Research and Training Council (SCERT) Raipur, under the direction of Koriya Collector Mrs. Roktima Yadav and guidance of District Education Officer Mr. Jitendra Kumar Gupta, a district-level science seminar competition on the topic "Indian Energy Scenario 2047: Possibilities and Challenges" was organized at Government Adarsh Kanya Higher Secondary School, Baikunthpur. The chief guest of the program was the District Education Officer of Koriya, Mr. Jitendra Kumar Gupta. The special guest was the Assistant Director, District Education Office Koriya, Mr. Kaushik Bhadra, and the program was presided over by the Coordinator Principal of Government Adarsh Kanya Higher Secondary School Baikunthpur, Mr. Amrit Lal Gupta.

The jury for the competition included Mr. Virendra Kumar, Lecturer SeSes Kharwat, Mrs. Jigyasa Dubey, Lecturer Government Adarsh Kanya Higher Secondary School Baikunthpur, and Mr. Hadish Mohammad, Lecturer Government Higher Secondary School Sonhat. Mr. Surendra Rajwade and Mr. Amarnath Singh provided significant support in making the event successful.

Students from classes 8th to 10th, selected at the block level from various schools in the district, participated enthusiastically in the competition. The students effectively presented their views on the current status of India's energy sector, possibilities up to the year 2047, renewable energy, energy security, technological advancements, and future challenges. In the competition, PPT presentations, subject-based cross-quizzes, model displays, and written exams were conducted. Through various activities, students demonstrated their scientific understanding, logical ability, subject knowledge, and presentation skills. Aditya Raj Singh First, Bhumika Rajwade Second, and Iqra Fatima Third In the district-level competition, Aditya Raj Singh, Class 9th, DAV Pandopara, secured the first position. Bhumika Rajwade, Class 10th, SeSes Sonhat, secured the second position, and Iqra Fatima, Class 9th, Government Adarsh Kanya Higher Secondary School Baikunthpur, secured the third position. Students who performed excellently secured a place for the divisional-level competition. All winners were honored with mementos and certificates. He stated that every individual has a natural ability to be curious, ask questions, and understand new things. The need is to develop this curiosity in students into a scientific outlook and logical thinking. He inspired students to continuously ask questions, experiment, and learn new things. Mr. Amrit Lal Gupta, who presided over the program, congratulated and extended best wishes to all participants and winners. The program's nodal officer, Mr. Kamal Dadsena, expressed gratitude to all the guests, participants, and teachers involved in the competition.
