A tragic road accident in the Koni police station area of Bilaspur resulted in the death of a young man. The incident occurred near the Ghutku underbridge on Wednesday morning. According to reports, 25-year-old Om Prakash Kewat, son of Nand Kumar Kewat and a resident of Chorbhatti Khurd, was riding his Splendor motorcycle (CG10BT0644) to Nauroti Kapa to operate a tractor around 6:30 AM. At approximately 6:45 AM, a speeding, unidentified pickup truck collided with his motorcycle. The impact caused severe head injuries, leading to Om Prakash’s death at the scene. His death was reported to his family by Shiv Kumar Yadav, the tractor owner. The police have registered a case against the unknown pickup truck driver under section 106(1)-BNS and initiated an investigation.
