Purushottam character, Gariaband. In Chhattisgarh, a solution camp is being organized under good governance Tihar to solve the public problem. In the camp, there has been a demand for removing the country-English liquor shop in village Sonamundi in the district. Ward councilor Vinod Pandey wrote a letter saying that he has given more than 5 applications for this, but no action was taken by the department. There is resentment among the people of the ward. Giving an ultimatum to the collector with a signed memorandum of ward dwellers, he said that if the shop was not removed within 15 days, he will sit on a dharna with the ward dwellers.
In fact, for the last one year, the ward dwellers, Shishu Mandir Institute and the foster of children studying there are constantly demanding to move the shop elsewhere. During the city good governance Tihar, more than five applications have been given in this regard, but the Excise Department has not taken any concrete action so far. The wards are angry with the apathy of the department.
Public resentment, question on the working style of administration
The fierce resentment of the public among good governance Tihar has also raised questions on the administrative functioning. The ‘Good Governance Day’ of the state government is dedicated to the Janata-Janardan, but action was not taken even after the complaint of the villagers. Now it will be seen whether the administration breaks the stubbornness of the Excise Department and respects the public sentiments or ignores it like other demands.
Why did the demand to remove the liquor shop to be removed?
Local residents say that due to the liquor shop, there is a dominance of congestion, dirt and anti -social activities in the area. Drinking people sit in the Shishu temple complex and nearby private properties and consume alcohol, due to which incidents have happened many times. The movement of Sonamundi ward residents is on the road located in the shop. There is a crowd of liquor lovers on the streets in the morning and evening, due to which women and children have trouble in traffic. Not only this, the workshop run by the women’s group has also been closed due to the shop environment. Therefore, now ward residents want the liquor shop to be removed from here.
It is worth mentioning that the ward resident, the women’s group had submitted a memorandum to the CM to the CM in -charge Minister Dayal Das Baghel. Apart from this, regional senior BJP leader Govardhan Manjhi and District Panchayat President Gauri Shankar Kashyap have also handed over letters to the administration demanding the removal of the shop to the government administration for the ill effects in the operation of Shishu Mandir.
Collector assured
After handing over the memorandum to the Samadhan Camp, Collector Bhagwan Uike assured ward councilor Vinod Pandey and local citizens that the demand for removal of the shop would be taken soon.
