Government Holiday in Chhattisgarh on Agrasen Jayanti
Ambikapur. Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, presented a historic gift to the Agarwal community during the inaugural session of the grand "Agra Mahakumbh 2026 - Sangam of Service, Strength, and Capability" organized by the Chhattisgarh Provincial Agarwal Organization under the hospitality of Shri Agarwal Sabha Ambikapur and Surguja Divisional Agarwal Mahasabha. The Chief Minister announced a government holiday in Chhattisgarh on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Agrasen Ji, the revered deity of the community.
The entire auditorium resonated with joy and enthusiasm following the Chief Minister's announcement. Thousands of representatives from the Agarwal community from across the state welcomed the Chief Minister with thunderous applause and expressed their gratitude.
From the main guest's podium, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the Agarwal community has always made significant contributions to the development of the state and the nation by embracing the ideals of service, cooperation, equality, social harmony, and entrepreneurship. The great principles of Lord Shri Agrasen Ji continue to inspire society towards mutual cooperation, humanity, and Antyodaya. Honoring these ideals and the sentiments of the Agarwal community, there will now be a government holiday in Chhattisgarh every year on Agrasen Jayanti.

Dr. Ashok Agarwal, the provincial president of the Chhattisgarh Provincial Agarwal Organization, welcomed the Chief Minister's announcement and said that this is a historic, glorious, and emotional moment for the entire Agarwal community. A government holiday on Agrasen Jayanti was a long-standing and much-anticipated demand of the community, which Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai has fulfilled, winning the hearts of the community.

The inaugural ceremony of the Agra Mahakumbh was presided over by Mr. Kulbhushan Mittal, the national president of the All India Agarwal Organization. The patron of the program was Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, Minister of Tourism and Culture, Government of Chhattisgarh.
On this historic occasion, former Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Mr. Gauri Shankar Agarwal, former Cabinet Minister Mr. Amar Agarwal, Basna MLA Mr. Sampat Agarwal, National Patron of the All India Agarwal Organization Mr. Siyaram Agarwal, national and provincial office bearers, representatives of various Agarwal Sabhas, and thousands of community members from across the state were present.
