Government's welfare schemes are reaching the last person: Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma. The town received a gift of development works worth Rs 27.6 million. Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma inaugurated and handed over the projects. Tree planting was done in the Chowpati complex and a message of positive thinking and noble values was given to the youth. In Raipur, the Nagar Panchayat of Nagri in Damtari district, the State Revenue and Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma laid the foundation and handed over various development projects costing Rs 2 crore 76 lakh 13 thousand. During the ceremony at the cultural building, he also planted trees in the Chowpati area and urged environmental protection. The minister said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guarantee and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai's leadership, the state government is working with an inclusive development and good governance commitment, giving new momentum to development so that schemes directly benefit the ultimate citizen. He highlighted schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Har Ghar Jal, Ujjwala, Mahatari Vandana, ration cards and social security pension, emphasizing that their main aim is to make every citizen self-reliant and provide a dignified life. He encouraged youth, stating that positive thinking, discipline, noble values and continuous study are the core mantra for success, urging them to read good books and draw inspiration from great personalities to become partners in nation building, and noted that development and environmental protection are complementary and a green town can be built through public participation. The handover includes several key projects: under inauguration, a Chowpati shop beautification work costing Rs 17.02 lakh and a water tank costing Rs 41.10 lakh were dedicated to the public. Under handover, MRF and compost plant (Rs 57.36 lakh), a cricket box (Rs 19.89 lakh) and a free-dam development (Rs 27.07 lakh) were laid as foundations, along with 16 other development works costing Rs 1.14 crore under the 15th Finance Commission. Certificates were distributed to beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana, ration cards, and the Chief Minister's Tirth Darshan Yojana. About Rs 10 crore of development works have been approved for Nagri. The Panchayat President said that under state guidance, roughly Rs 10 crore of total development works have been approved, including a modern library, box cricket ground, CC road and drainage works, which will establish Nagri as a modern, well‑organized city. The ceremony was attended by the District Panchayat President, former MLA Shri Shravan Markam, Mrs. Pinki Dhruv, Janpad President, local representatives, officials and many citizens.
