A deeply tragic incident has occurred in Pakhunjur, Chhattisgarh. In the PV 70 Shantinagar village of Chandanpur Gram Panchayat, under the Partapur police station area, five members of a family attempted suicide by consuming poison. Three young children died before receiving medical attention, while the parents are in critical condition. They have been admitted to the Civil Hospital Pakhunjur for treatment. The deceased children have been identified as Varsha Bairagi (11 years), Dipti Bairagi (7 years), and Devraj Bairagi (5 years). The reason behind the family’s decision to consume poison is currently unknown. Police have initiated an investigation at the scene. Grief has gripped the village and surrounding area. Local administration and police officials are also present at the scene. According to villagers, the family was struggling with financial difficulties and family tensions, although this has not been officially confirmed. The deaths of the three children have deeply saddened the entire area.
