Himachal and Uttarakhand Under Flood Warning, Jammu Kashmir Braces for Storm

The hill states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are under a flood warning from today until 5 September. Expected rainfall ranges from moderate to very heavy, with flash‑flood threats in districts such as Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Dehradun, Nainital and Rudraprayag. Lightning strikes are also likely. Jammu and Kashmir has received a similar alert for heavy rain and strong gusts in several districts. Authorities have urged people in vulnerable areas to remain vigilant.
