A man in Chhattisgarh, India, died by suicide after his wife declined to make him egg curry on the occasion of Teej, a significant religious festival. The incident occurred in the Dhamtari district, where the man, identified as Tiku Ram Sen, had been drinking alcohol. He returned home with eggs and requested his wife to prepare egg curry. However, she refused, citing the festival and the tradition of not eating non-vegetarian food on Teej. This led to an argument, after which Sen left the house and was later found hanging from a tree in a nearby forest. His wife collapsed upon hearing the news. Police were called to the scene, and an investigation has been launched.
