95 surrendered Naxalites receive incentive of over Rs 1.40 crore The rehabilitation effort is gaining momentum due to the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai Raipur – In line with the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the directions of Forest and Climate Minister and Bijapur district in‑charge Minister Shri Kedarnath Kasyap, the Chhattisgarh government, under the Naxal Surrender/ Victim Relief and Rehabilitation Policy 2025, has approved an incentive amount of Rs 1 crore 40 lakh 86 thousand 700 (Rs 1.40 crore) for 95 surrendered Naxalites in Bijapur district. Bijapur Collector Shri Vishwadeep has granted approval for the release and distribution of the amount as per policy provisions to provide the incentive to Naxalites who surrendered with their arms. The incentive is being given to integrate surrendered Naxalites into mainstream society, help them start a new life and provide dignified livelihood opportunities. The state’s rehabilitation policy is a significant and effective step toward promoting peace, development and social rehabilitation in Naxal‑affected areas. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government aims to connect people in Naxal‑affected regions to the mainstream of development and make them self‑reliable. Through the rehabilitation policy, surrendered Naxalites are receiving the opportunity for dignified reintegration into society, giving new momentum to peace and development in the Bastar region.
