Raipur / Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai said that it is a moment of pride and joy for Chhattisgarh that a series of three T20 international matches between the women's cricket teams of India and Zimbabwe has been organized at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur. The organization of an international women's cricket series for the first time on Chhattisgarh's land is an important achievement in the state's sports history. The fact that the first bilateral series between the women's cricket teams of India and Zimbabwe is starting from Chhattisgarh makes this occasion even more historic.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai today reached the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur and enjoyed the third match of the India-Zimbabwe Women's T20 International Series. He extended a warm welcome and congratulations to the players of the women's cricket teams of both countries on the land of Chhattisgarh and wished them the best for their excellent performance. Encouraging the players, the Chief Minister said that women players who have made a name for themselves at the international level through their talent and hard work are an inspiration to millions of daughters of the country.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the organization of international women's cricket matches for the first time in Nava Raipur is proof of Chhattisgarh's growing role in the field of sports. This is not just a cricket series, but also an opportunity to inspire the daughters of the state to dream big and fulfill them. When our daughters see world-class players playing in front of them, their confidence to move forward in the field of sports and bring laurels to Chhattisgarh and the country will increase.

He said that on the occasion of this historic series, free entry has been arranged in the stadium for mothers, sisters, and daughters. The objective behind this is to connect more and more women and girls with sports and provide them an opportunity to witness the performance of international women players firsthand. The Chief Minister said that women's participation is not limited to the playground, but today our daughters are bringing glory to the country in every field with their talent and capability.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the state government is continuously working towards creating a conducive environment for sports in Chhattisgarh and providing better opportunities to players. Along with the expansion of sports infrastructure, talented players are being provided with training, resources, and better opportunities for competition. Our effort is to provide the talents of Chhattisgarh an opportunity to connect with national and international level sports culture in their own state.

He said that the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium is an important sports infrastructure of Chhattisgarh. The state government's decision to lease the stadium to the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association has paved the way for regular organization of national and international level cricket competitions here. This not only provides an opportunity for cricket lovers of the state to watch world-class matches but also gives young players of Chhattisgarh an opportunity to learn from and be inspired by great players.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that in the past, international cricket matches against New Zealand and Australia were successfully organized in Nava Raipur. With the special initiative of the state government, two IPL matches of Royal Challengers Bangalore were also successfully organized. Now, the organization of the India-Zimbabwe Women's T20 International Series has taken another step towards establishing Chhattisgarh as an important center of national and international cricket.

The Chief Minister said that major sporting events strengthen a state's sports culture and also give new energy to its economy and identity. When players, sports officials, and spectators from across the country and the world come to Chhattisgarh, it boosts economic activities in tourism, hotel business, transportation, local trade, and the service sector. Such events also create new employment and livelihood opportunities at the local level.

He said that Nava Raipur is rapidly developing as a city equipped with modern infrastructure and national-international level facilities. The state government's aim is not only to develop Nava Raipur as a modern and well-organized capital but also to give it a new identity as the country's leading sports and event destination. For this, modern sports facilities are being expanded, existing infrastructure is being better utilized, and national-international events are being continuously encouraged.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, a positive environment has been created in the country to encourage sports and players. India's daughters are continuously achieving great success in sports and are bringing glory to the Tricolor on the world stage. The Chhattisgarh government, in line with this spirit, is committed to identifying, nurturing, and providing a better platform for the promising sportspersons of the state.
