A major development has unfolded in the dense forests of Abujhmar, Chhattisgarh. During a search operation along the Narayanpur-Maharashtra border, security forces engaged in a fierce encounter with Naxals, resulting in the elimination of six top-tier Naxal leaders. Following the encounter, security forces conducted an extensive search of the area, recovering AK-47 rifles, SLRs, a significant quantity of explosive materials, and daily-use items. Intelligence agencies had previously received reports of heightened Maoist activities in the Abujhmar region, prompting the joint team’s search operation. The encounter, which began on Saturday afternoon and continued intermittently for hours, led to the neutralization of six Naxals. Security forces have cordoned off the area and the search operation is ongoing, with the possibility of more injured Naxals hiding in the forest. Efforts are underway to identify the slain Naxals; police officials believe some may be previously rewarded criminals with pending serious cases.
