Ahmedabad, November 11, 2025 – Chhattisgarh has received investment proposals worth approximately ₹33,000 crore during the Investor Connect program held in Ahmedabad. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai handed over investment letters to major companies in sectors such as thermal power plants, green steel manufacturing, solar cells, pharmaceutical products, and medical food supplements. The investment proposals received by Chhattisgarh will create over 10,532 employment opportunities in the state.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai discussed investment possibilities in the state with top industrialists and business leaders from across the country at the Investor Connect Meet organized in Ahmedabad. Interacting with industrialists, the Chief Minister expressed his excitement about being in Gujarat, the land of industry, investment, and innovation. He stated that enterprise resides in every particle of Gujarat, and there is no corner of the world where Gujarati brothers are not present. He added that Gujarat and Chhattisgarh will play a significant role together in building a developed India.
Mr. Sai remarked that just as Gujarat is accelerating the country’s and the world’s economy, Chhattisgarh is also rapidly progressing in the same direction. He said that while Gujarat possesses enterprise, Chhattisgarh has energy, minerals, skilled manpower, and an attractive industrial policy, which are no less than a boon for investors.
The Chief Minister informed that the Chhattisgarh government has made over 350 reforms in the last 22 months, making it easier to set up industries. NOCs are now being issued promptly under the single-window system in the state. He mentioned that special grants and incentives have been provided to industries in the new industrial policy. Additional assistance will be given for setting up industries in tribal areas like Bastar and Surguja. The Chief Minister stated that investment proposals worth over ₹7.5 lakh crore have been received by the state so far.
Mr. Sai highlighted that Chhattisgarh ranks second in coal production in the country and received investment proposals worth ₹3.5 lakh crore at the recently held Energy Summit. The state has significant potential in thermal, hydel, solar, and forest-based industries.
He informed that Nava Raipur is being developed as an IT and AI data center hub. Semiconductor and electronics companies have shown interest in investing here. The Chief Minister said that tourism has been granted industry status, which has opened up investment possibilities in the hospitality and wellness sectors as well.
The program was attended by Chairman of CSIDC Mr. Rajiv Agarwal, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Industries Department Mr. Rajat Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Managing Director of CSIDC Mr. Vishwesh Kumar, and other officials.
Companies that announced investment:
1. Legium Life Sciences Private Limited – This company manufactures pharmaceutical products and medical food supplements. The company has proposed an investment of ₹101 crore, which will create 750 jobs.
2. Torrent Power Limited, Ahmedabad – The company has proposed to set up a 1600 MW thermal power plant at a cost of ₹22,900 crore, which will give a new direction to Chhattisgarh’s energy capacity. This will provide employment to 5,000 people.
3. Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited – Has outlined a plan to invest ₹200 crore for a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit. This will create employment for 200 people.
4. Onyx Three Enersol Private Limited – This company will establish green hydrogen, green ammonia, and green steel manufacturing plants. An investment of ₹9,000 crore and 4,082 jobs are proposed.
5. Mala Creation Private Limited, Surat – This company will set up a solar cell manufacturing unit (2GW capacity). An investment of ₹700 crore is proposed for this, which will create employment for 500 people.
6. An investment proposal of ₹300 crore has been made for the establishment of a Multi Super Specialty Hospital. This will be a significant step towards strengthening healthcare services and will also increase local employment.
7. Sapphire Semicom Private Limited – This company will invest ₹120 crore in Chhattisgarh in the semiconductor manufacturing sector, creating 4,000 jobs.
