The Jal Sankalan Jan Bhagidari (JSJB) campaign has three phases, each measuring the number of water‑saving structures created. In the latest Phase 3 (JSJB 3.0), Chhattisgarh reported 79,775 new installations, of which 77,719 are fully operational, propelling the state to the number‑one rank. These structures encompass rainwater harvesting tanks, percolation ponds, and recharge wells designed to trap runoff and feed the aquifer. The cumulative effort aims to keep rainwater within the local landscape, boosting groundwater levels and ensuring a reliable supply.
