Landslide Alerts Issued for Himalayan States as Monsoon Intensifies

Mountainous areas are receiving heightened attention as the monsoon deepens. Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Nainital districts may encounter light rain, prompting landslide warnings. Upper Himachal Pradesh has also been placed under a light‑rain alert for today. In Jammu & Kashmir, regions such as Ramban, Rajouri, Reasi and Kathua could see moderate showers. These warnings aim to mitigate the risk of slope failures in terrain that is already vulnerable to heavy precipitation.
