Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai hailed the Made in India chip as a major achievement for the country, attributing it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sai stated that under PM Modi’s visionary leadership and the commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India), India has created a new history in the field of technology. The launch of the nation’s first indigenous 32-bit microprocessor, Vikram, at the Semicon India 2025 conference, is a strong testament to India’s technological self-reliance and innovation capabilities. The Vikram processor, developed entirely using indigenous technology, is specifically designed for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)’s space launch vehicles. This will not only strengthen India’s space technology but also showcase its technical superiority on a global scale. Sai emphasized that this achievement is a result of the hard work of India’s young engineering talent and scientific community. He added that this indigenous microprocessor signifies India’s emergence as a manufacturer and global technological leader, rather than just a consumer. This success will further accelerate initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The indigenous microprocessor will be useful not only in space research but also in defense, communication, and other high-tech fields. CM Vishnu Deo Sai extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on this historic achievement, stating that it is a new identity for a golden India and will serve as an inspiration for future generations.
