A man was fatally stabbed in the Mongra Basti area of the Bankimongra police station jurisdiction in Korba, Chhattisgarh. The victim, identified as Ashwini Pathak, also known as ‘Pintu’ (40), a resident of Ayodhyapuri-Jailgaon, was found dead with stab wounds near the Bhusaripara sub-station. According to family members, Ashwini had left with Manjod Bakkal, who resides in the same area, on Friday afternoon. Police, along with the dog squad and forensic team, arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination after the initial inquest. Authorities are examining all aspects of the case, including statements from family and friends, and reviewing CCTV footage to determine the circumstances surrounding the murder.
