Minister Keshav Kasyap Urges Fast‑Track Completion of Forest Guard Hiring

Chhattisgarh’s Forest and Climate Change Minister, Keshav Kasyap, has issued a direct instruction to expedite the remaining steps of the forest‑guard recruitment process. Speaking at a press briefing, the minister warned against any unnecessary delays that could hinder the employment prospects of the state’s youth.

Kasyap emphasized that the recruitment must be completed with full transparency and adherence to the schedule already communicated to candidates. He called on department officials to prioritize the evaluation of written test results, interview arrangements, and medical clearances.

According to the minister, the forest‑guard cadre plays a pivotal role in protecting the state’s diverse flora and fauna, curbing illegal timber extraction, and fostering community‑forest cooperation. Prompt appointment of qualified candidates will strengthen these efforts.

The minister also pledged that the government values the hard work and aspirations of the candidates, assuring them that their service to the state will be recognized through timely job allocation and appropriate remuneration.
