Shivam Mishra-Manendra Patel, Durg. A high-alert mock drill (Mock Drill) was organized in Durg district of Chhattisgarh at 4 pm, in which the practice of war-time emergency was done. In this mock drill, a bomb was dropped from Pakistan Air Fighter in Surya Mall. During this time, hundreds of citizens were trapped in the midst of the flames, which is being rescued.
The mock drill was started at 4 pm in front of the petrol pump at Sector-6 by playing a siren. After this, the police officers, volunteers and NCC cadets lay down at the main square-intersections, so that the common people could be informed about the correct response during the disaster.
Surya Mall becomes a mock simulation center
Surya Mall of Bhilai was made the focal point of the mock drill, where hundreds of citizens were trapped between fire and smoke as per the concept. After which NCC, police and rescue teams started practicing the people trapped in the mall safely. Fire brigade, health department and security forces are being jointly operated during the rescue.
Blackout mockdryl will also practice
Under this, Blackout will be done in Sector-1 and Sector-9 area of Bhilai from 7:30 pm to 7:45 pm. In the Bhilai sector and plant area only, “Black Out McDrill” will be organized till the “All Clear” siren is played in the Bhilai sector and plant area. During this time, all the citizens will have to close the lights of their home, shop, office, institute etc. As soon as the vehicle running on the road is rang, the vehicle should be parked and its headlight and backlight should also be kept closed.
