The monsoon has once again become active in Chhattisgarh. Raipur, the capital city, experienced intermittent heavy rainfall from late night until the morning. The sky has been overcast with dense clouds since morning, leading to pleasant weather conditions. Waterlogging has occurred in several areas of the city due to the rainfall.
The weather department has issued an alert for light to moderate rainfall across the state for the next five days. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rainfall and lightning in Surajpur and Balrampur-Ramanujganj districts, while a lightning alert has been issued for the remaining 31 districts.
Regarding rainfall figures, more than 69 locations in over 24 districts of the state recorded rainfall on Friday. An average of 25.51 mm of rainfall was recorded during this period.
In terms of temperature, Durg remained the hottest, with a maximum temperature of 31.2 degrees Celsius recorded. Pendra recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 22.2 degrees Celsius. Amidst the fluctuating monsoon patterns, the administration has appealed for vigilance.
