Monsoon‑time road safety: CM Sahay mandates rapid completion of stalled projects

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sahay warned that the onset of the monsoon should not slow down road‑building schedules. He directed all construction agencies to accelerate work on pending and approved projects as soon as rainfall subsides. A detailed action plan, he said, must be shared with district collectors to ensure that quality work meets the stipulated deadlines.

The CM reiterated that citizens must not endure prolonged inconvenience under the guise of “ongoing construction”. Continuous monitoring, strict timelines and accountability mechanisms are now mandatory across state‑run highways, PWD projects and municipal roads.
