The monsoon’s pace has slowed in Chhattisgarh, with stable weather conditions predicted for the next three days. However, significant rainfall is anticipated across most districts of the state thereafter. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for 10 districts in Surguja and North Chhattisgarh, as well as 13 districts in the south, with thunderstorms and lightning expected.
In the past two days, the monsoon has become active in several areas, bringing the possibility of light to moderate rainfall across various parts of the state. A warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for a few places in the Surguja division. Moderate rainfall was recorded in several areas in the last 24 hours, with heavy rainfall reported in a couple of places in Jashpur and Balrampur.
People have found relief from the heat. Ambikapur has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the last 24 hours. The monsoon has become active throughout Chhattisgarh, including the Surguja division. Farmers are happy with the good rainfall and have started their agricultural work. The drop in temperature due to the rain has also provided relief from the heat. Some areas of the city may experience waterlogging, prompting the municipal corporation to clean the drains.
