*Mudvendi village shines with the light of good governance*
*Niyad Nellanar Yojana becomes the carrier of revolutionary change*
Raipur, June 11, 2025/ The small village of Mudvendi in Bijapur district, which had been suffering from Maoism for years, has now become an example of change. Situated about 35-40 kilometers away from the district headquarters, this village is now not only connected with clean drinking water and a pucca road, but now the light of electricity has also arrived here. This has all been possible due to the vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the Niyad Nellanar Yojana.
Only 45 families live in this village, but the changes that have come in their lives in recent days are unprecedented. Earlier, where darkness would fall as soon as evening approached and even taking a step at night was risky, now, with the arrival of electricity, not only has light come to the homes, but the flame of hope has also ignited in the hearts of the villagers.
*Journey from Maoism to good governance*
In this village, which remained cut off from the mainstream of development for a long time due to Maoist violence, basic facilities like roads, electricity, and water are now reaching. This change is not limited to just facilities, but its impact is also clearly visible on social and educational life.
Shri Hunra Kunjam, a resident of the village, says, electricity has reached our village after years. Earlier, where children could not study in the dark, now children are studying comfortably even at night. Along with this, relief has also been received from the danger of snakes, scorpions and wild animals. Hunra Kunjam says that the school, which had been closed for years under the Niyad Nellanar Yojana, has now been restarted. After an interval of a generation, the children of the village are now getting the opportunity of education in their own village. It is like a dream come true for the villagers.
*Happy atmosphere, a new dawn of hopes*
Shri Lakhma Kunjam, also from the village, says that with the arrival of electricity, there is an atmosphere of celebration in the village. Now household chores are easily done at night, children study and the village feels safer than before.
*Niyad Nellanar Yojana: A ray of hope*
The Niyad Nellanar Yojana, launched by Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai for the Maoist-affected areas, has truly become a carrier of revolutionary change. Under this scheme, not only are development works being done, but the villagers are also getting a new path of security, trust and self-reliance. The story of Mudvendi village shows that when the intention of the government is clear and the schemes are implemented on the ground, the ray of change can reach even the remote areas. Now Mudvendi is identified by light instead of darkness. This is the truth of good governance and the direction of the new Chhattisgarh.
