The Chief Minister mentioned the five qualities of an ideal student, “Kaak Cheshta Bako Dhyanam, Shwan Nidra Tathaiva Cha. Alpahari Grihatyagi, Vidyarthi Panch Lakshanam” (Crow’s effort, heron’s focus, dog’s sleep, eats little, renounces home, these are the five traits of a student), and inspired the students to be disciplined, hardworking, and goal-oriented. In response to a student’s question about the impact of social media, he said, “In the digital age, embrace the good and stay away from the bad.” On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai honored the students who performed excellently in the state and district level in the class 10th and 12th board examinations by presenting them with mementos and certificates of appreciation. In the program, Top Singh Kumbhkar presented the Chief Minister with a handmade portrait of his picture. Students and the district administration also presented the Chief Minister with the Bhagavad Gita, a booklet, and a memento. The Chief Minister discussed innovative educational efforts such as ‘Prayas’ and ‘Nalanda Campus’, and said that the government is establishing modern libraries in every district so that students can have an inspiring environment for study. The Chief Minister said that the library is not only a place of study but also a center for laying the foundation of success. He praised the District Library Mungeli, saying that hundreds of youth have achieved success in competitive examinations from here, which is a matter of pride.
Notably, the Mungeli District Library remains open from 8 am to 8 pm every day. It has a rich collection of more than 4780 books, including books related to competitive, literary, historical, religious, and inspirational subjects. Along with this, national and local newspapers, weekly and monthly magazines are regularly made available to the students for study. Currently, 893 registered members are availing the services of the library. 32 tables, 11 CCTV cameras, and 06 experienced employees are ensuring the smooth operation of the library for the students. State Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri P. Dayanand, Bilaspur Divisional Commissioner Shri Sunil Jain, IG Shri Sanjeev Shukla, Collector Shri Kundan Kumar, Superintendent of Police Shri Bhojram Patel, administrative officers, employees of the District Library, teachers, and a large number of students were present in the program.
