Raipur. More than 427 government hospitals and health centers of Chhattisgarh have received a certificate of National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) in the year 2024-25. Regarding this, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that new paradigms are being established by the Government of Chhattisgarh in the field of healthcare supply. Our commitment to better health facilities in the state and the result of service spirit is that there is a historic increase in the number of government hospitals obtaining the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certificates.
Chief Minister Sai said that in the year 2024-25 more than 427 government health institutions have acquired national quality certification, which is the highest compared to the previous years. This is a proof of unprecedented improvement in the state’s health system and ensuring access to the end of service.
The Chief Minister congratulated Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal and the entire team of Health Department for their dedicated working style and visionary efforts. He especially appreciated the efforts being made to provide quality health services to the remote areas. Referring to the achievement of ‘Chintagufa’ Primary Health Center in Sukma district, he said that the area which has once been a symbol of challenges, today the health center there has been honored for its service quality at the national level. Chintagufa Health Center has been awarded the National Quality Assurance Certificate of the Government of India on 28 November 2024.
Health Minister Jaiswal said that a total of 436 government hospitals and health centers have got quality certification in the state, while the evaluation of 644 other institutions is under process. This shows that the Chhattisgarh government is constantly committed to making health facilities consistent, reliable and excellent.
It is noteworthy that the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification is provided only to those hospitals, which meet strict standards like available services, patient rights, input quality, clinical services, infection control and quality management. This certification is provided only after intensive evaluation by the team of experts.
Chief Minister Sai expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh will soon join the country’s leading healthcare supply states through the continuous initiative of the government and dedicated teamwork.
