Raipur. March 30, 2025. The six-storey Central Business District (CBD) built in sector-21 of Nava Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, in 2.65 lakh square feet, is rapidly moving towards becoming the new identity of this first smart city of the country. The newly constructed railway station of Nava Raipur is nearby, due to which this CBD is known by the name of Railway Station. Currently, Mirage Multiplex, IP Club Restaurant and ASP office are operating in the CBD. An immersive holographic entertainment center is going to be launched here soon for a unique entertainment experience. Gokul Super Market will also start soon for all kinds of shopping.
Various facilities are being provided in one place in the CBD in accordance with the smart city. More than 100 retail shops have been allotted to local businessmen which will increase footfall here rapidly. The CBD will provide a new platform for employment, tourism, cultural-technical center and innovation-based start-ups along with accelerating the economic development of Nava Raipur. This complex, which is going to realize the vision of a smart city, will become the new identity of Nava Raipur in the coming years where everything like education, entertainment and daily needs will be available in one place. Equipped with immersive technology, technical training institute and shopping facilities, it is the center of new attraction for the future.
The commercial complex of the Central Business District is spread over four wings, with a total carpet area of two lakh 65 thousand square feet. Here, the plan of each floor has been prepared keeping in mind the different needs of the citizens. An area of about five thousand square feet in the ground floor has been allotted to Gokul Super Market which is going to start soon. The Additional Superintendent of Police office of Nava Raipur is also operating on this floor. More than 100 retail shops have also been allotted on the ground floor.
The second floor of the CBD has been allotted to NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology), which will train the youth in electronics, data analytics and IT and make them self-reliant. IP Club Restaurant is also operating on this floor, which provides different types of food to the people. An immersive holographic entertainment center is being built on the third floor at a cost of Rs 5 crore 33 lakh. It will provide a unique experience of entertainment to the people of the state through VR (VR), AR (AR) and holographic technologies. Mirage Cinema, operating on the fourth and sixth floors, has established the CBD as a popular place of entertainment in Nava Raipur.
The CBD is not just a shopping destination. It will deeply affect the modern capital of Chhattisgarh, Nava Raipur, economically, socially and technically in the near future. The country’s first smart city, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, is rapidly emerging as a city of the future, where the Chief Minister’s residence, secretariat, secretariat, head of department building and other government offices are operating. A new building of the Legislative Assembly is also under construction here. Nava Raipur is touching new heights in the fields of education, health, technical development and investment as well. After the construction of the CBD was completed in the year 2018, the present government allotted many places like Gokul Super Market, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Additional Superintendent of Police office in 2025 itself.
