Shaili Gupta Wins Gold Medal in International Matsogi-Do Championship
Raipur. Sukma, once identified as a Naxal-affected region, is now forging its new identity on the strength of sports, education, and young talents. The district's promising player, Shaili Gupta, has become an example of this transformation. She has brought glory to India, Chhattisgarh, and Sukma on the international stage by winning a gold medal in the 49 kg senior women's category at the International Matsogi-Do Championship held from June 24 to June 26 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.
Demonstrating excellent performance among players from Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh, Shaili convincingly won the final match, proving her mettle. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Shri Arun Sao, and Sukma District In-charge Minister, Shri Kedar Kashyap, congratulated Shaili for her spectacular success.
