NMDC organizes Hindi essay writing and Hindi oral competitions for government school students
NMDC Limited, Hyderabad organized various competitions and programmes as part of “Rashtriya Bhasha Mah, 2026” from 14 September 2026 to 13 October 2026. To promote the use and importance of the national language Hindi among students, on 24 September 2026 NMDC arranged Hindi essay writing and Hindi oral competitions for students of five schools: Namapalli Vyayam Shala Higher Secondary School, Hanuman Vyayam Shala Higher Secondary School, Telangana Minority Gurukul Asif Nagar Balak School, Indo Grammar Higher Secondary School and Shankrajii Memorial Kanya Higher Secondary School. A large number of students participated. The essay competition for classes 6 to 8 covered topics such as Climate Change: Impact on Future Generations, Role of Sports in Overall Development of Students and Time Management: Key to Success. The oral competition for classes 9 to 12 included topics like Role of Youth in the Current Political Landscape and Artificial Intelligence: Impact on Employment. Judges included Mr. Jaishankar Prasad, Assistant Director (Retd.), Hindi Teaching Scheme and Mrs. Neeliba Tiwari, Assistant Director (Retd.), Hindi Teaching Scheme. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Che. Srinivas Rao, Assistant General Manager (Rashtriya Bhasha), NMDC, who welcomed judges, school committee members, principals, teachers and participants and wished them well. He explained that the aim of these competitions is to enhance Hindi writing talent among government‑school students and remove hesitation in speaking Hindi. Dr. Rajinder Kaul, Senior Manager (Rashtriya Bhasha) gave a brief briefing, and Mr. S.K. Sanodia, Assistant Manager (Charity) actively participated in the organization. The dignitaries of Namapalli Vyayam Shala, including Honorary Principal Mr. B. Durga Prasad, committee members, principals and teachers of various schools encouraged the participants. After the competitions, NMDC Limited, Hyderabad provided kits related to teaching material to the students. The events concluded with a vote of thanks.
