Surendra Jain, Dharsiwan. Leader of Opposition Charandas Mahant reached the Shaheed Memorial on Sunday afternoon on the 12th anniversary of the Jhiram Valley Naxalite attack. He paid homage to all the late leaders including senior Congress leaders Nandkumar Patel, Vidyacharan Shukla, Mahendra Karma and Lal Yogendra Sharma of Dharsivan, who were martyred in the Jhiram Valley case.
Talking to Lalluram on the occasion, Charandas Mahant gave a big statement saying that “It is very sad that despite the passage of twelve years, neither any government nor NIA could reveal the truth behind it. It was not just a Naxalite attack, but was part of a big conspiracy.”
He was accompanied by many senior Congress leaders and activists, including former MLA Anita Yogendra Sharma, former Rajya Sabha MP Chhaya Verma, Backward Class Congress President Bhavesh Baghel, along with former Congress President Bhavesh Baghel.
Let us know that the Jhiram Valley attack took place on 25 May 2013, in which many top leaders were killed during the Congress’ Parivartan Yatra. It is considered one of the most painful and mysterious events in the political history of Chhattisgarh.
