A female principal, Angnesh Minj, from the Jamjunnani Primary School fell victim to an online scam. Deceived by fraudsters, she transferred a total of ₹2.65 lakh to an account within two days. According to the information, the principal received a call from an unknown number. The caller inquired if she used PhonePe. Upon her affirmative response, they asked about her account balance. She stated she had approximately ₹3 lakh. The scammer then lured her by promising to return ₹3.18 lakh if she sent ₹3 lakh. Falling for the scheme, the principal gradually transferred ₹2.65 lakh from her own and PhonePe accounts to the provided account. Realizing the deception when the money wasn’t returned, she reported the incident at the Pathalgaon police station. The police have initiated an investigation based on the report.
