Raipur, July 06, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai held a review meeting of the departmental work of the Housing and Environment Department at Mahanadi Bhawan, the Ministry located in Nava Raipur. During this, the Chief Minister took information about the works being carried out under the Nava Raipur Development Authority and gave necessary instructions to the officers. In the meeting, Finance and Housing Environment Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat, Secretary Housing and Environment Shri Ankit Anand, CEO of NRDA Shri Chandan Kumar, Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Housing Construction Board Shri Avneesh Sharan, CEO of Raipur Development Authority Shri Akash Chhikara along with other senior officials were present.
The Chief Minister said that the well-organized development of Nava Raipur is the government’s first priority. Planned development will be done in Nava Raipur area keeping in mind the future needs. Nava Raipur is the most modern and beautiful capital of the country. Top educational institutions like I.I.M., Triple I.T., National Law University of the country have been established here. In the future, the settlement in Nava Raipur will increase, so it is necessary that the civic amenities should also be expanded here according to the upcoming needs. The Chief Minister discussed with the officials regarding the expansion of rail connectivity in the Nava Raipur area and gave necessary instructions. The construction of the new railway line from Parmalkasa – Kharsia by the Government of India will be done via Balodabazar district. The Chief Minister, while expressing his intention to connect this railway line to Nava Raipur, said that this will expand the rail facilities in Nava Raipur and the common citizens will get its benefit.
Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized the need to construct a logistics hub in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar under the Bharat Mala project to promote imports and exports along with the construction of the expressway connecting Visakhapatnam. The officials said that the construction of the expressway passing through Chhattisgarh has been completed by about 95 percent. With its construction, the distance from Raipur to Visakhapatnam will be reduced by 100 km. The Chief Minister said that a large number of investors are being attracted by the new industrial policy of the state. This will provide employment to the youth here. The Chief Minister took information about the plantation and growth of plants like Peepal, Banyan, Karanj, Neem, Ashok, Amaltas, Gulmohar etc. under the construction of Oxizone in Nava Raipur area. In the meeting, the officers informed that there is a plan to prepare a commission bidding complex for various commission-board-corporations etc. of the state government in Nava Raipur area in future. Apart from this, there is a proposal to establish a working women’s hostel, a 100-bed hospital, and another new police station in Nava Raipur for working women. The Chief Minister said that the allocated land plots should be properly utilized for the construction of new buildings in the Nava Raipur area.
The Chief Minister reviewed the work of Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board, Chhattisgarh Housing Construction Board, Nagar and Gram Nivesh, Chhattisgarh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Raipur Development Authority, which are included under the Housing and Environment Department, and gave necessary instructions to the officers.
