Raipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated 103 rebellious railway stations across the country including five Amrit stations of Chhattisgarh under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. These stations have been upgraded with the aim of providing world class facilities to the passengers. On this important occasion, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai attended the inaugural program organized at Ambikapur railway station. Amrit stations of Chhattisgarh which were inaugurated include Ambikapur station of Bilaspur division, Urkura of Raipur division, Bhilai and Bhanupratappur station and Dongargarh station of Nagpur division.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that 05 railway stations of Chhattisgarh including Ambikapur, the headquarters of tribal dominated Surguja district, have now joined the railway map as a major station. He has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the gift of Amrit stations in Chhattisgarh. Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Finance OP Chaudhary, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Lok Sabha MP Chintamani Maharaj, MLA Rajesh Agarwal, Uddeshwari Pekra, Shankutla Rapot, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain Divisional Narendra Dugga, IG. Many public representatives and senior administrative officials were present, including Deepak Jha.
It is worth noting that under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a total of 1337 stations are being modernized across the country, out of which 103 Amrit stations completed have been released today. These stations have been given a modern form. Also, local folk art, culture and traditions have also been placed in station design. The facilities available in these nectar stations include grand entrances, attractive furnishings, high mast lighting, modern waiting room, ticket counter, modern toilet, smooth ramp for disabled, platform shelter, coach indication system and digital display etc.
