Police Probe Top Career Consultancy After Alleged MBA Admission and Job Fraud

Law enforcement agencies in Durg have launched a probe into Top Career Consultancy after a young man alleged that the firm duped him of 19 lakh rupees. The consultancy advertised overseas MBA programmes in the United Kingdom and Canada, coupled with a guaranteed job placement upon completion.

The victim, Sumit Armarkar, paid the sum in stages to three representatives of the firm. When the promised job did not materialise, he returned home and sought a refund. The cheques issued by the accused bounced, leading to a police complaint.

Gagan Gupta, Jaswinder Singh and Swati Aggarwal have been placed in custody. The investigation focuses on the authenticity of the admission documents, the financial flow of the payments, and any false representations made to secure the victim’s trust.
