Raipur, Police is not just an institution that maintains law and order, but the strongest foundation of security, trust, and good governance in society. Police personnel, away from their families, dedicate themselves day and night to the safety of the public amidst every season and every challenge. It is because of their sacrifice, courage, and sense of duty that ordinary citizens can live their lives without worry in their homes. Honoring such dedicated police officers and personnel is an honor for the entire society.

Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the 'Jazba Police Awards-2026' program organized today at a private auditorium in Shanti Nagar, the capital Raipur. He said that the police uniform is not just a symbol of authority, but a symbol of sacrifice, discipline, service, and patriotism. The dedication with which policemen discharge their duties even in the most difficult circumstances is a subject of inspiration for society.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai made a special mention of Assistant Sub-Inspector Gyaneshwari Yadav of Chhattisgarh Police, who won a silver medal in the women's 53 kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games-2026. He said that Gyaneshwari, by lifting 199 kg, has not only brought glory to the country and the state but has also proven that police personnel can perform excellently in sports along with their service. Historical Role of Police Force in Decisive Victory Against Naxalism

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that for years, Naxalism had hampered the pace of development in Bastar. This region, full of natural beauty, mineral wealth, and rich tribal culture, was unable to progress to its full potential due to violence and fear. Today, Bastar has entered a new era of development, trust, and transformation. This change is the result of the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the firm strategy of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and the indomitable courage of the state police and security forces.

He said that the fight against Naxalism was a campaign to protect democracy, development, and humanity. Our brave soldiers, without caring for their lives, conducted operations in difficult jungles and worked to make the state fear-free. This victory will be a chapter of inspiration for future generations.

Spirit of Injured Soldiers Instilled Confidence

Chief Minister Shri Sai shared his experiences, saying that he had the opportunity to meet police personnel injured in the Naxal front on many occasions in hospitals. Despite being seriously injured, their faces showed not despair, but an indomitable resolve to serve the country and the state. They used to say that as soon as they recovered, they would return to the front and carry forward the fight against Naxalism. The Chief Minister said that this indomitable spirit has emerged as the biggest strength of Chhattisgarh today, and as a result, the state has achieved decisive success in becoming free from the curse of Naxalism.
