Rainfall is prevalent across India these days, bringing pleasant weather to many states. The weather department forecasts rain and cloud cover in Delhi today. Alerts have also been issued for rain in the hilly regions of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, along with Uttar Pradesh and other states. The capital, Delhi, has experienced mild, pleasant weather recently, with the monsoon expected to remain active. Starting with good rainfall this morning, the weather is expected to clear later. Winds may reach speeds of 25 to 40 kilometers per hour. The weather department anticipates rain in Delhi until July 17th.
Uttar Pradesh is set to experience heavy rainfall, with heavy downpours expected in several parts of eastern and western UP in the next 24 hours, accompanied by thunderstorms. Rain is expected in several districts of eastern UP today, while some districts of western UP may see thundershowers.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected today in Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, and northern Rajasthan. There is also a possibility of rain in West Bengal, Odisha, and Kerala. Heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in eastern Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rainfall is also possible in western Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, coastal Karnataka, Gujarat region, and isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya.
In the mountainous regions, adverse weather has caused devastation. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand witnessed severe rainfall recently. A fresh western disturbance is forming in the western Himalayas, potentially bringing rain to Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The risk of flash floods and landslides may increase due to the rain, including the possibility of cloudbursts.
