Old Basti police have registered a crime against unknown cyber thugs for fraud of Rs 57 lakh by pretending more profit in share trading on the report of the manager of the private company. Unique Paradise Bhatagaon, a resident of Harish Salukh, was a victim of cheating. According to the report, the accused contacted them through mobile phones and implicated them and continued to get them done online shares. In WhatsApp group, SMS related to transfer of profit in their account also came. In one and a half months, the thugs transferred 57 lakh rupees to different accounts. According to TI Old Basti Yogesh Kashyap, when the victim tried to withdraw money from his account, it did not get success.
Rather, it was asked to transfer more money before withdrawing. On realizing the fraud, the victim reached the police. The cyber cell conducted a preliminary inquiry into the complaint and has also held seven and a half lakh rupees to the bank account. It has been learned that the money has been transferred by transferring money to the muel account of banks like Bank of Maharashtra and Bandhan Bank. Efforts are on to reach the thugs by examining the mule account. It is noteworthy here that the cyber police station of Raipur Range has arrested two hundred thugs and muel account holders and co-supporters and sent them to jail in many cases of fraud.
