Raipur News: Prateek Chauhan. Raipur. A case has come to light and transfer the idol of 400 -year -old village guard Siyar Devta located in Raipura village of the capital Raipur. This incident has hurt the religious sentiments of the local people. Councilor Mahendra Ausar of Madhavrao Sapre Ward 69 has filed a complaint against the operators and employees of Aspen Tree Hotel at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar police station, on the basis of which an FIR has been lodged under Section 298 of Bhadvi (BNS).
According to Councilor Mahendra Ausar, the idol of the Siyar deity near Raipura Chowk, which has been worshiped as a village guard for nearly 400 years, was broken by the hotel staff on the instructions of the owner of the Aspen Tree Hotel and placed it in the second place. This action was taken without any religious ritual, which the local people are considering derogatory. The complaint states that this act is going to hurt religious sentiments.
According to the police, at around 9 am on 22 April 2025, Jitendra Thakur, Ritesh Sahu, Dileshwar Chakradhari and other local people saw the idol of the Siyar deity placed in second place in a fragmented state while passing through Raipura Chowk. After this, the councilor immediately lodged a written complaint at the police station and demanded action.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar police station in -charge has registered a case under Section 298 (work done with the intention of hurting religious sentiments) on the basis of the complaint. The police has started investigation and hotel operators and employees are being questioned.
