Raipur. Raipur Range Cyber Police Station has arrested three main accused from Delhi while taking major action under Operation Cyber Shield against cyber crimes. This action was taken on the instructions of Inspector General of Police (IG) Raipur Range Amresh Mishra, who collected technical evidence against cyber criminals and ordered a special campaign to arrest them.

The case started when Dr. Prakash Gupta of Raipur lodged a complaint in the police station Aamnaka that he was cheated with Rs 11 lakh in the name of share trading and profit. On the basis of this complaint, a case was registered under crime number 433/24, Section 420, 34, 467, 468, 471 Bhadvi in police station Aamnaka. The investigation of the case was handed over to the Raipur Range Cyber Police Station. In the preliminary investigation, four accused – Pawan Singh, Gagandeep Sharma, Rajveer Singh, and Sandeep Ratra (all Delhi residents) had already been arrested.
Operation Cyber Shield: Raid in Delhi
On the instructions of IG Shri Amresh Mishra, the cyber police station identified the main accused through technical analysis. After this, a special police team left for Delhi. Raids were conducted at three different places in Delhi, in which the main accused Himanshu Taneja (29 years), Ganesh Kumar (37 years), and Ankush (26 years) were arrested.
During the raid, the police seized information related to the documents related to the case, fake Aadhaar card, computer, scanner, printer, and cyber criminals purchased from the money earned from the criminal. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they used to open bank accounts in the name of fake company and send money abroad through forex trading, which was later received back.
Action to confiscate the property of the accused
The police obtained documents of assets purchased from the amount earned from cyber crime and have started the process of attaching them. The arrested accused have been sent to judicial custody.
