Raipur. There is a danger of fire in the transformer when the load increases during summer, and if this transformer is in front of the house, then there is a threat to the family. But removing the transformer is not a matter of the common people, because the power company demands full expenses, while under the Chief Minister Electrification Scheme, there is a provision to shift such transformers for free.

In the last two years, more than 50 applications were made in the corporation. But only 15 of these applications were sent to the committee. People demanded shift under the Chief Minister electrification, but the transformers were not removed. On the contrary, a bill of spending of one and a half lakhs was handed over to the people.
After applying, we make rounds
Such transformers are in old mohallas and settlements. In such a situation, even those who applied are not financially capable that they can pay such a huge amount only to shift the transformer. In one such case, the victim said that the corporation has applied to remove the transformer. The power company surveyed and gave a bill of one and a half lakhs. Such victims are not one or two, but many, who are wandering by giving an application to remove the transformer around their house.
More problems in these areas of the capital
Such a problem is more in some areas including Kushalpur, Professor Colony, Old Basti, Khokhopara, Gudiyari, Bajrang Nagar, Lakhinagar, Amapara and Kukirpara Banstal Shastribazar and Baijnathpara in Raipur.
Only 15 proposals sent in a year
In the last one year, 15 proposals of the district level committee have been sent. Most of these proposals have been sent by MLAs, ministers and MPs. Some proposals have been prepared on the recommendations of the power company and former divisional president and former councilors.
Provision of free shifting
A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Collector to implement the Chief Minister’s Urban Electrification Scheme in the state. In this, the corporation commissioner, the Town Planning Department and the PWD officers and the officials of the collectorate and the officer of the power company are members. Applications are presented in the committee through the corporation. The committee meets every month, and work starts after testing the applications. The committee usually approves such cases, which affect many people. One or two people or personal applications are not considered.
