State-level workshop on strengthening digital justice system through new criminal laws to be held in Raipur on August 2

Raipur, aiming to make the justice system more robust, simple, accessible and transparent through modern technologies, a state-level workshop titled "Strengthening Digital Justice System through New Criminal Laws" will be organized on 2 August 2026 at Hotel Babylon International, VIP Road, Raipur. The workshop will be a significant initiative to make judicial processes more efficient, transparent and citizen-focused by effective implementation of new criminal laws and integration of digital technologies. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sahay will be the chief guest, and the session will be chaired by Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha. Special guests will include Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Law and Legislative Affairs Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav and Justice Shri Chandravanshi, along with other judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur. Officers of the judicial service of Chhattisgarh, SPs, IGs, Directors General of Police and senior officials of the police and judicial system from all districts will participate. The workshop aims to foster better coordination among judiciary, police and prosecution and promote effective use of new technologies. Detailed discussions will be held on Inter-Court Criminal Justice System (ICJS), Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS), digital judicial coordination, technical integration under new criminal laws and digitisation of justice and police mechanisms. Senior officials from the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) will provide technical training and presentations as subject experts. This state-level workshop is a crucial step towards a coordinated digital ecosystem among judiciary, police and prosecution, accelerating implementation of new criminal laws and delivering quick, accessible, transparent and effective justice to citizens through modern technology.
