Security forces have successfully neutralized three Naxalites in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh, during an intense encounter. The firefight erupted in the dense forest areas under the Bhejji and Chintagufa police station jurisdictions. An elite District Reserve Guard (DRG) team was conducting a targeted anti-Naxalite operation in the region when they were ambushed by Maoist cadres.
The operation was initiated following credible intelligence indicating the presence of insurgent groups in the vicinity. Authorities confirmed that the engagement resulted in the deaths of three Naxalites. The security forces have stated that the operation is still active and ongoing, with further details expected.
