Modern Techniques of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Will Transform Lives
Raipur, April 30, 2025 / The State Government has implemented the Chhattisgarh Naxalite Surrender Relief and Rehabilitation Policy 2025, keeping in view the establishment of peace and inclusive development in Naxal-affected areas. Under this policy, continuous efforts are being made to bring surrendered youth into the mainstream of society by providing vocational training and making them self-reliant.
Under the guidance of Collector Shri Devesh Kumar Dhruv in Sukma district, 20 surrendered youths are being trained at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Agricultural Science Center), Sukma through the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI). This training is for a period of three months in which they are being provided with information on livelihood-based techniques like drip irrigation, vermi-compost production, organic farming, vegetable production, dairy, poultry and fish farming. Sessions on financial literacy and methods of establishing small enterprises are also being organized in the training program to promote entrepreneurship development. After completion of the training, these youth will also be trained in other employment-oriented subjects like sewing and motor driving.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai says that the Chhattisgarh government’s Naxal Relief and Rehabilitation Policy 2025 is not limited to surrender only, but it is an effort to give a new life to those youth who had once strayed onto the wrong path. Our objective is that they become self-reliant, live a dignified life and become an inspiration to society.
Collector Shri Devesh Kumar Dhruv said that this is not just rehabilitation, but a concrete step towards a sustainable livelihood for the youth who have returned to the mainstream. Nodal Officer of the Livelihood College, Ms. Madhu Teta, informed that after the training, these youth will also be provided with necessary assistance from the government for self-employment. This initiative of the State Government is not only establishing lasting peace in Naxal-affected areas, but is also moving the youth towards a positive future.
