As part of the railway infrastructure development, the fourth railway line project between Bilaspur and Jharsuguda is nearing completion. With over 150 km of the 206 km project already finished, non-interlocking work will be carried out from August 31st to September 15th to connect the Raigarh station to the fourth line. This will lead to several changes in train operations during this period. A total of 29 express and passenger trains from Bilaspur, Tatanagar, Pune, Kurla, Kamakhya, Hatia, Puri, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Malda, Porbandar, Vasco-da-Gama, Patna, Howrah, and Mumbai routes will be canceled. Significant trains like Tatanagar-Bilaspur, Pune-Santragachi, Kurla-Kamakhya, Hatia-Pune, and Puri-Jodhpur are among those affected. Furthermore, the Howrah-Pune Duronto Express will run via Jharsuguda-Titlagarh-Raipur, the Pune-Howrah Duronto Express will run via Raipur-Lakholi-Titlagarh, and the Howrah-Mumbai Duronto Express, Mumbai-Howrah Duronto Express, Kurla-Shalimar Express and Shalimar-Kurla Express will also be rerouted. Additionally, 5 trains including the Gondia-Raigarh Janshatabdi and Nizamuddin-Raigarh Gondwana Express will terminate at Bilaspur, meaning they will not proceed to Raigarh and will end their journeys mid-route.
