Special events to be held on the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda
Raipur, November 7, 2025 / As per the instructions of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, this year on November 15, 2025, the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda will be grandly celebrated as “Tribal Pride Day” across the country. On this occasion, “Tribal Pride Fortnight” is being organized from November 1 to November 15, 2025.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, various programs will be organized in all districts of the state in the presence of guardian ministers, MPs, MLAs, public representatives, and in-charge secretaries. District-level ceremonies will showcase tribal culture, folk art, cuisine, handicrafts, and development exhibitions, along with various public welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments.
The programs will include the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Folk Art Festival and the North Chhattisgarh Tribal Folk Dance Festival. Along with this, morning rallies, public awareness yatras, tree plantation, essay, debate, and drawing competitions will be organized in ashram-hostels, government institutions, and tribal villages. Seminars will also be held on the lives and contributions of tribal heroes and heroines.
Special beneficiary saturation camps will be organized during this fortnight, providing services such as Aadhaar card, Ayushman card, Jan Dhan account, sickle cell testing, health check-ups, caste certificate distribution, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and Kisan Credit Card.
Pride Day will also be celebrated at the district’s “Aadi Seva Kendras”. At the district-level main event, family members of freedom fighters, tribal community leaders, talented children, and individuals who have excelled in their work will be honored. Short films related to PM Janman, Adi Karmyogi, and Dharti Aba schemes will also be screened. A message from Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai will also be read out (Pati Vachan) at the event.
On the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, this event will provide an opportunity to convey the culture, tradition, struggles, and saga of pride of the state’s tribal society to the new generation.
