Uttar Pradesh to Jharkhand: Widespread Rain Alerts Issued

The meteorological agency has flagged heavy rain for several districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Varanasi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Ballia, Pratapgarh, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Banda, Hamirpur and Jhansi. Winds of 30‑40 km/h are possible in many of these areas. Bihar is also under a heavy‑rain warning with thunderstorms and lightning. Jharkhand has issued orange alerts for six districts and yellow alerts for twelve more. Across eastern Rajasthan, an alert for thunderstorms has been released, while the western part of the state sees a weaker monsoon.
